GAS FITTING IN REGINA.

Gas lines, appliance hookups, and code work — by a Red Seal gas fitter.

Overview

Gas fitting is a separate Red Seal trade from plumbing in Canada. The two credentials sit on the same trade card only if the tradesperson sat both apprenticeships and both national exams. Lawrence Kessler did. That means Wind Rose can run gas-line work, gas-appliance connections, and gas-side service on residential and commercial accounts without subcontracting to a second trade.

The scope covers new gas-line runs (residential and commercial), gas connections for boilers, furnaces, water heaters, ranges, dryers, fireplaces, and garage heaters, gas-leak diagnosis and repair, code compliance for gas-supply work on tenant improvements, and the gas-side work on any Wind Rose boiler or hydronic job. The fact that the gas trade is in-house is the reason boiler installs are quoted as one line item — not split between two trades.

Gas work is inspection-heavy and code-tight by design. A Red Seal gas fitter signs work that the local inspector references against national standards. Wind Rose does the job the inspector expects to see.

TWO RED SEALS. ONE TRADE CARD.

Most contractors who do gas work hold the gas-fitter ticket and subcontract the plumbing, or hold the plumbing ticket and subcontract the gas. Wind Rose holds both Red Seal credentials, which means the gas connection on a boiler, water heater, or furnace install is run by the same hands that ran the plumbing. One trade, one quote, one inspection ticket.

Red Seal Gas Fitter is the trade credential that authorizes new gas-line work and code-signed gas-appliance connections in Saskatchewan.

Frequently asked

Do you run new gas lines or just hook up appliances?

+

Both. New gas-line runs for residential and commercial buildings, range and dryer relocations, garage-heater supply lines, BBQ-quick-connect installs, and the gas side of any boiler, water heater, or furnace install are all in scope.

How much does a gas-line install cost in Regina?

+

A standard gas-line run for a single appliance starts around $450 — the number changes with line length, pipe sizing, permit cost, and how accessible the route is. Multi-appliance runs and new commercial gas supplies are priced per scope. The Pricing page has the breakdown.

Do you need a permit for residential gas work?

+

Yes. New gas-line work and most appliance gas connections require a permit pulled by a licensed gas fitter. Wind Rose pulls the permit and handles the inspection sign-off as part of every job.

Can you diagnose a gas leak?

+

Yes. If SaskEnergy or the local inspector has flagged a leak, or if the homeowner smells gas, Wind Rose runs gas-leak diagnosis and repair as a service-call scope. If the situation is an active emergency, call SaskEnergy first — they shut off the supply — and Wind Rose follows on the repair side.

Do you do gas work for fireplaces and garage heaters?

+

Yes. Gas fireplace connections, garage heater gas supply, BBQ quick-connects, and outdoor gas-appliance lines are all in scope. The work is the same Red Seal trade ticket as a boiler or furnace gas connection.

Can you handle commercial gas-fitting scope?

+

Yes. Commercial gas-line work, mechanical-room gas supply, restaurant gas connections, and process-application gas-fitting are all in scope. See the Commercial page for the B2B service framing.
